You can also write, edit, and manage your stories at any time from your dashboard. After one year, your replies will be compiled into a beautifully bound and printed book that will be shipped to you. You’ll have the opportunity to customize the book before it goes to print.

A MyStories membership includes one year’s worth of story questions for one storyteller, and one hardcover, full-color book with shipping included.

No — one printed book is included in the price of your membership. Membership price includes shipping and taxes. You can purchase additional copies for an added fee.

Before your membership ends, you can either print your book or extend for another year to continue adding and editing stories. To print your book through MyStories, an active membership is required. When your membership expires, you will stop receiving weekly emails. Your stories will remain accessible in read-only mode, and you can download them from the website.

MyStories will send a variety of prompt questions asking about your life experiences, your memories, words of wisdom, and more. They cover a wide range of topics and are designed to be fun and easy to answer while inspiring you to share rich stories that you and your family will love to read.

Yes. You can add your own questions and edit existing ones, if you wish.

You can reorder the questions as you wish. At the moment, you can’t customize how often the prompt questions are sent, but if you miss a week, you can always answer the question later. We do recommend the weekly frequency as an ideal pace — it gives you enough time to devote thought and attention to each question, while maintaining the momentum that establishes the writing session as a regular and enjoyable ritual.

Yes — you can answer any of the questions at any time via the dashboard on the website. You can also reply to any of the emails whenever you wish.

No worries: simply answer the question later. If you prefer to skip the question and leave it out of the printed book, just leave it blank.

At the moment, MyStories does not offer this option, but we hope to add it soon. In the meantime, you can always download individual stories from the website and share them with whomever you like.

You can select from a variety of colors for the cover, upload a cover photo, and customize the title, byline, and spine text for the book.

Yes. You can include photos as an attachment when submitting a story, or you can log in to your account and upload photos through your dashboard on the website. You can add as many photos as you’d like. MyStories supports all photo formats.

Yes, you can add a caption for any photo you attach to your stories.

The finished book will be a hardcover measuring 6x9 inches (15x22 cm), printed in full color. Due to printing limitations, books cannot exceed 800 pages. If your book is longer, you can split it into two or more volumes.

When you purchase MyStories, you can select who the storyteller will be: you, or someone else. If you're giving MyStories as a gift, choose "someone else". We'll send the gift notification by email. You can choose when to send the gift and customize the gift message that's included in the email.

Answering the questions is very easy. The gift recipient can simply reply to the weekly question email with their story, or they can visit their MyStories account and answer the questions at their own pace. Account access is through a one-time login link, so they won’t need to remember any passwords. Once submitted, stories can be edited at any time before printing through the MyStories dashboard.

Yes, you can specify when to send the gift email.

Yes, you can download a digital copy of your book at any time.

Yes, you can order more copies of the same book for an additional fee.

Yes. International shipping is available for an additional fee. Shipping within the U.S. is free with your purchase.

Yes, but keep in mind that MyStories only supports left-to-right text formatting at this time. Support for additional languages will be added soon. The questions themselves will appear in English by default, but you can edit and translate them if you wish.

We offer a few different shipping options. With standard shipping, it should take around 10 business days, but you may also choose economy shipping — which will take longer — or expedited shipping, which is faster.

Only you (and the designated storyteller, if relevant) can see the stories shared on MyStories. If you’ve given MyStories as a gift, both you and the storyteller will be able to view the stories via a one-time login link.

Your personal data is yours and yours alone, and you maintain full control over who can see your stories. Your stories are protected and accessible only to you and, if relevant, to your assigned storyteller, through a one-time login link. We will never publish any of your stories on social media or other channels without your explicit consent.

When you log in, MyStories sends you a one-time login link to your email that gives you automatic access to your account. This is a secure solution that removes the need for a password.
